🌸 Week 34 of Pregnancy

“Baby dropped lower? That explains the nonstop bathroom trips 😄”

👶 Your Baby

Your baby is now about the size of a cantaloupe melon 🍈
✔ Around 45 cm long
✔ Rapidly gaining weight

🧬 Development
✔ Lungs are almost fully mature
✔ Brain and nervous system continue developing
✔ Your baby looks more like a newborn now 😍

🤰 Your Body

Feeling like breathing is slightly easier? 👀
That may happen when your baby moves lower into your pelvis.

✨ Lightening / Engagement
This can reduce pressure on your lungs and improve heartburn symptoms.

🚽 But there’s a catch 😄
✔ You may pee more often
✔ Walking may feel harder

⚠️ Symptoms at Week 34
– Braxton Hicks contractions
– Sleep problems
– Stretch marks
– Back pain
– Heartburn
– Constipation and bloating
– Swelling in hands and feet

🥛 Colostrum
You may notice small yellow drops leaking from your breasts.
✔ This is your baby’s first milk 💛

💼 Maternity Leave
You may be wondering:
“When should I stop working?” 😄

💉 RSV Vaccine

If you haven’t had the RSV vaccine yet:

✔ It can still be given before labour

💡 It helps protect your baby from severe chest infections after birth

🛍️ Baby Shopping

Thinking about buying a baby sling or carrier? 👀

✔ Make sure you learn how to use it safely

🥗 Healthy Eating

❌ You do NOT need to “eat for two” 😄

✔ In the third trimester, you only need about 200 extra calories daily

👉 Focus on healthy balanced meals instead

💪 Pelvic Floor Exercises
Important for reducing urine leakage and helping recovery after birth.

💫 Baby Movement

✔ You should still feel regular movements.
🚨 Reduced movements = call your doctor immediately.
