🌸 Week 33 of Pregnancy

👶 Your Baby

📌 Size & Growth

Your baby is about the size of a pineapple 🍍

👉 This means your baby is not just growing bigger —
they are also building important fat stores to prepare for life after birth

🧬 Development

✔ Bones are getting stronger
❗ But the skull is still soft and flexible

💡 This is important because:
👉 It allows your baby’s head to pass safely through the birth canal

🧘 Position

✔ Your baby is usually:

  • curled up
  • head down

💡 Space is tighter now —
but movements should still be strong and regular

💫 Movement

You may feel:

  • kicks
  • pushes
  • rolling movements

💙 Even if movements feel different,
 they should still be consistent

🤰 Your Body

⚖️ Pelvic Pressure

You may feel:

  • heaviness
  • pressure low in your pelvis

✔ This is normal

👉 Your baby may be moving down into position

💫 Braxton Hicks

You may notice:
👉 your tummy tightening for a short time

✔ These are practice contractions

✔ Not regular
 ✔ Not getting stronger

🚨 If they become painful or regular → call your doctor

😴 Sleep

Sleeping may be difficult

✔ This is very common

👉 Your body, your baby, and your thoughts are all working at the same time

⚠️ Symptoms

You may experience:

  • Trouble sleeping
  • Stretch marks
  • Bleeding gums
  • Pain on the sides of your bump
  • Piles (hemorrhoids)
  • Headaches
  • Back pain
  • Heartburn
  • Constipation and bloating
  • Leg cramps
  • Feeling hot
  • Dizziness
  • Swelling (hands & feet)
  • Urine infections
  • Vaginal infections
  • Skin changes (dark patches, acne)
  • Hair changes

💡 These are common at this stage
but always check if something feels unusual

💫 Baby Movement

✔ Your baby’s movements are your main reassurance

🚨 Golden Rule

If movements:

  • decrease
  • become weaker
  • or change suddenly

👉 Do NOT wait
👉 Contact your doctor or hospital immediately

💉 Vaccination

✔ Whooping cough vaccine (if not taken yet)

💡 Helps protect your baby after birth

🧠 Preparing for Birth

Start thinking about:

  • Where you want to give birth
  • Who will support you
  • Your preferences for labour

✔ This is called your birth plan

🛌 Sleep Position

✔ Try to sleep on your side

💡 This improves blood flow to your baby

💼 Work

✔ You have rights:

  • antenatal appointments
  • safe working conditions

💪 Exercises

✔ Pelvic floor exercises

🧠 Emotional Wellbeing

Feeling:

  • anxious
  • overwhelmed

✔ Completely normal

👉 Talk to someone you trust

🩺 When to Seek Help

🚨 Immediately if:

  • reduced baby movements
  • bleeding
  • severe pain
  • regular contractions

If everything feels heavier and slower…
