👶 Your Baby

Your baby is about 2 mm long, the size of a sesame seed 🌱

  • The brain and spinal cord are developing 
  • The tiny heart is forming and will begin beating soon ❤️ 
  • Facial features are starting to develop 
  • Blood vessels and the umbilical cord are forming 
  • The placenta is developing to provide oxygen and nutrients

🤰 Your Body

Many women realize they are pregnant around week 5 👀

You may notice:

  • Missed period 
  • Feeling tired or unwell 

💡 This is a good time to take a pregnancy test ✔️

⚠️ What to Expect

  • Extreme tiredness 
  • Nausea (any time of the day) 
  • Breast tenderness 
  • Mood swings 
  • Food cravings or aversions 
  • Heightened sense of smell 
  • Frequent urination 
  • Vaginal discharge 
  • Light spotting 
  • Mild cramping 
  • Bloating 

💡 Not everyone experiences all symptoms—every pregnancy is unique 🤍

🥗 Nutrition & Supplementation

  • Take 400 mcg folic acid daily until at least week 12 
  • Helps protect against neural tube defects 
  • Vitamin D: 
    • Important for bones and muscles 
    • Supplement may be needed 

✔️ Focus on a balanced diet

🚫 No need to eat for two

🏃‍♀️ Exercise

  • Aim for 150 minutes per week 
  • Start with 10 minutes daily (e.g. walking)
